Rendezvous with Pianist-Composers, a piano recital I did as an requirement for my master degree graduation.This recital included 6 piano compositions written or transcribed by pianist-composers, from romantic period to modern jazz music. All of those pieces consist of techniques and pianism which could only be found in the Golden Age of Piano.
Pieces performed in the recital include the following :
1. Aragón by Federico Longas (1893-1986)
2. Trios Petites Pièces Espagnoles by Federico Longas (1893-1986)
3. Chopinata by Clément Doucet (1895-1950)
4. Sonatina Op.100 by Nikolai Kapustin (b.1937)
5. The Enchanted Nymph by Mischa Levitzki (1898-1941)
6. Wedding March and Variations by Vladimir Horowitz (1903-1989)
I thank all of the audiences who attended my recital on busy Thursday night. Thank you for all of your support, cards, flowers and presents. It is my honour and calling to be a pianist, playing piano music for all of you. I hope all of you enjoyed tonight's music and share the happiness, which has been the motivation of continuing my piano playing.
