This was the first time I participated in piano competition outside Hong Kong. What a wonderful experience. Especially impressed by the warming up session before actual performing on stage. I took part in both solo piano group and piano duet group this time.
Solo piano group held a few days ago and I performed with 2 pieces of music:
1. Aragón by Federico Longás
2. Chinese piano music, Liu Yang River by JianZhong Wang
Piano Duet group held today. My partner, Michelle who is one of my master degree classmate from mainland China, and I played Astor Liazzolla's Libertango, arranged by Khatia and Gvantsa Buniatishvili. We got lucky and won 2nd running up and Chopin prize. Michelle, I love you and I am looking forward to team up with you in the coming future.
